Installation and compatibility

On Samsung, the normal distribution path is Samsung Apps when the application is available for your model and country. The Tizen build uses Samsung’s native AVPlay video engine so playback remains adapted to the TV platform.

Connect your IPTV source

In ⚙ Config, choose Xtream Codes, M3U URL or Portal according to the information supplied by your service. SofIPTV stores a new source only after a successful channel-list load, so an incorrect attempt does not replace the last working connection.

The “Erase everything” option removes locally stored IPTV links and credentials, favourites, history and preferences while keeping the SofIPTV device licence.

Remote control and navigation

Navigation is optimized for directional keys, OK/Enter, Return and the colour keys used by selected functions. The green key toggles favourites and the red key opens recent channels during playback.

Troubleshooting

If a stream works on another device but not on the TV, first check its codec, current availability and provider restrictions. Samsung models do not all support exactly the same video formats.

Does SofIPTV include an IPTV subscription?

No. SofIPTV is a player only. You must provide your own lawfully obtained source.

Are my IPTV credentials sent to the SofIPTV server?

No. IPTV connection details remain on your device. The backend handles only the trial, activation and licence.

Can I change provider or playlist?

Yes. Enter the new source in Config. It becomes the saved source only after it successfully loads a channel list.
