Installation and compatibility

For normal consumers, installation goes through the LG Content Store when the app is published for the relevant region and model. Developer Mode installation is intended for development and testing rather than everyday consumer distribution.

Connect your IPTV source

In ⚙ Config, choose Xtream Codes, M3U URL or Portal according to the information supplied by your service. SofIPTV stores a new source only after a successful channel-list load, so an incorrect attempt does not replace the last working connection.

The “Erase everything” option removes locally stored IPTV links and credentials, favourites, history and preferences while keeping the SofIPTV device licence.

Remote control and navigation

The transparent channel menu stays navigable during full-screen playback. Directional keys and OK work with the standard remote, while the interface also accommodates Magic Remote pointer behaviour.

Troubleshooting

webOS generations can handle HLS, MPEG-TS and certain codecs differently. If one channel fails, test several channels from the same source to distinguish a stream-specific problem from a general playback issue.

Yes. Enter the new source in Config. It becomes the saved source only after it successfully loads a channel list.
