Setup and troubleshooting

Programme guide (EPG)

The guide shows the current and next programme for each channel. It does not come from SofIPTV but from your provider, which explains most of the oddities.

In four steps

  1. Load your source in ⚙ Config
  2. Open the channel list
  3. The current programme appears next to each channel
  4. Use the guide to browse the schedule

Where the data comes from

Programme information comes from an XMLTV file supplied by your service. On an Xtream Codes connection it is delivered automatically. With an M3U URL it depends on what the playlist includes.

SofIPTV produces no schedule data and buys none: it displays what your source sends.

Why some channels show no programme

Every channel carries an identifier, the tvg-id. The guide is attached to a channel only when that identifier matches the one in the XMLTV file exactly. A single character of difference leaves the channel without a programme while the others are fine.

That matching happens on the provider side; no setting on the TV can correct it.

Time offset

XMLTV files state their times with a timezone. If every programme looks shifted by a constant number of hours, check the TV's own timezone first. If the TV clock is right, the offset comes from the supplied file.

Missing logos

Logos are images referenced by the playlist. An unavailable image, or one served over http on a device that requires https, will not appear. The channel itself still plays normally.
