M3U IPTV player for Google TV and Android TV
SofIPTV has an Android TV build for Google TV and Android TV devices. It uses the same SofIPTV licensing backend as the Samsung and LG versions while adapting navigation to Android TV remotes.
Installation and compatibility
The Google TV build can be distributed through Google Play and, on compatible Android devices, as a signed APK. Direct installation requires the user to allow app installation from the chosen source.

This official build is for Google TV / Android TV and is also used on compatible Android phones and tablets. It is different from the Fire TV build.

- Open Settings → Apps. Developer mode is generally not required when installing from a browser or file manager.
- Allow the app used to open the APK. Open Special app access / Security → Install unknown apps and allow only the browser or file manager you use.
- Download the Google/Android APK. Type https://sofiptv.com/get/google or use the button above.
- Open the file and choose Install. Keep Google Play Protect enabled.
- ADB is optional. For ADB: Settings → System → About → press Build number 7 times, then enable debugging under Developer options.

Connect your IPTV source
In ⚙ Config, choose Xtream Codes, M3U URL or Portal according to the information supplied by your service. SofIPTV stores a new source only after a successful channel-list load, so an incorrect attempt does not replace the last working connection.
Remote control and navigation
The interface is designed around the D-pad: up, down, left, right, OK and Back. The last successfully working IPTV source and the last watched channel can be restored automatically on the next launch.
Troubleshooting
For direct distribution, always use a release APK signed with the same signing key so future versions can update the installed app. IPTV credentials remain stored locally on the device.

SofIPTV is a media player. It does not provide, host or resell television channels or media content. Use only playlists, streams and services you are lawfully entitled to access.

Does SofIPTV include an IPTV subscription?
No. SofIPTV is a player only. You must provide your own lawfully obtained source.
Are my IPTV credentials sent to the SofIPTV server?
No. IPTV connection details remain on your device. The backend handles only the trial, activation and licence.
Can I change provider or playlist?
Yes. Enter the new source in Config. It becomes the saved source only after it successfully loads a channel list.
